π My Review
October rolled around and I had to make a move. Fall foliage doesnβt wait and it was a gamble between Acadia and GSMNP. Booked the flight and off we went. This is the park I spent the most time at by far, three full days of exploring. A big chunk of the park runs in a loop, but thereβs an insane amount packed into it. Trails left and right and photo ops everywhere. Day one we went straight for the Precipice Trail. Forget the Beehive hype, Precipice is where itβs at. Easily one of the most adrenaline loaded trails Iβve ever done, with rock scrambling, sketchy underpasses, and ladders where you genuinely hold on for dear life. Two miles of pure chaos that leads you out on top of Champlain Mountain. Day two started with the first sunrise in the US at the summit of Cadillac Mountain. Mountains meeting the ocean never gets old. We wrapped the day with sunset at Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Day three was the tiktok famous Beehive Loop. Cool trail, very short, very overhyped, and packed with ladder traffic that killed the vibe a bit. We finished in Bar Harbor, rented bikes, and cruised through the park, which mightβve been the most peaceful part of the trip. Acadia in the fall is unreal. One more East Coast park checked off, onto the next one.
